The overall escalation in Zonda craziness over the last few years has just made me realize that we’ve hit peak Zonda and it’s just going down from here. I think it may have hit perfection sometime between the F and the Cinque

IMO those wheel spats look atrocious.

I’d rather have a black Zonda F, but I really like the C12

I’d definitely take a Zonda over a Huayra any day.

Aren’t they sort of standard Zonda wheels?

No turbos. Inferior to Huayra.

Zozo is wonderfully insane. The Zozo is now my favorite Zonda.
The longer I go without a car the worst my car taste gets. I’ve been without a car for 11 months now.

See, I like that. Full spats with purpose are awesome, but cosmetic ones tacked on because the owner wanted them bother me a bit, IKD it just doesn’t look done well. That McLaren MSO thing kind of falls in between the two categories but it’s still awesome.

But the X1 is the definition of cosmetics tacked on without purpose.

I’m aware of this but I think it looks dope. This it the internet and I’m using my constitutional right to be inconsistent and wrong. If I had to give a reason that it looks good it would be that the spats go all the way down and it actually looks like it probably has a lower coefficient of drag than the MP4-12C

I know, I was just saying that I doubt aero was at the top of their list when designing the thing. No real purpose, but just to “look cool”, and I respect that.

Oh, aero certainly wasn’t their top priority. Some guy said he wanted a low drag British batmobile with spats and they came up with that, probably threw it in a wind tunnel at the very end to make sure it wouldn’t flip.

The tricolore was my favorite Zonda when I first learned about Pagani. Cinque a close second. It always looked better than the Huayra for me.

The X1 is such a weird combination of retro and modern styling that I can’t help but love it. It’s fascinating.

Why aren’t wheel spats more of a thing?

Not the wheels, the spats that cut halfway through them. It looks so wrong in not a right way.
